About Phillip Rogers

Phillip Rogers Acoustic Guitarist and Vocalist

A Life in Music

At the turn of the new millennium, I was 40 years old, working construction to make ends meet while chasing my dream in Nashville. I spent my time writing songs and surviving on vocal demo work, which kept me connected to the music industry. Around that time, I released my first official album, “A Piece of My Soul,” co-written with Grammy-nominated songwriter Jimbeau Hinson.

Family and Commitment

Life shifted when my mother was diagnosed with dementia. From 2006 on, I was limited to working close to home, only getting back to Nashville occasionally to write and record. By 2020, as her health declined, even that stopped completely. After her fall during COVID, she required constant care, and until her passing in October 2024, I was a full-time caregiver.

Holding On to the Dream

Even during those years, I never gave up music. I kept writing and recording songs, building a catalog of work—several of which I plan to release as I continue to grow my presence. I also built my skills as an audio engineer, created a small demo and video studio, and studied video production. These skills became the foundation for my EPK and performance video services, which now help other musicians and entertainers stand out in the booking process.

A New Beginning

When I returned to live performance, I had to start from scratch. At first, that meant busking on the streets—completely dependent on tips. It was humbling, but it gave me space to relearn songs, develop looping arrangements, and rebuild my confidence. Less than a year later, my calendar is filling with private events, house concerts, and marriage proposals across North Georgia.

Faith and Purpose

What once felt like an ending has become a new beginning. And through it all, the greatest change has been spiritual: this journey has drawn me closer to God the Father and His Son, my Savior Jesus the Christ. I’ve seen firsthand how He can take seasons of loss and hardship and turn them into purpose, provision, and hope.

Today

I’m a professional acoustic guitarist and vocalist based in Dahlonega, Georgia, performing a wide variety of music for private events, weddings, marriage proposals, house concerts, and special occasions. Alongside performing, I also provide EPK video production services to help other musicians and entertainers present themselves professionally.
